"Ask, and it shall be given you"

"Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" is a portion of scripture that has been true in our personal and ministry lives.

For several months, we had been asking God for a place where our 2 Bible studies could meet and in the lapse of 6 months, God made it possible.

We were praying for an old workshop with a covered space, a location with easy access for people with their own cars or using public transportation, and a place that with work, patience, and love and the help of God,  we would be able to transform into a functional, physical structure for the true church, “the people”.

By the glory of God, Anchor Baptist Church in the city of Barquisimeto now has its own campus.is Word is taught!

In the last months as a family, we have been dedicated to serve God in every way possible in this new work: to visit, disciple, counsel, clean, paint, arrange and move chairs, bring brothers in Christ and visitors in our car, cook, sing, prepare classes for children, attend to children that never in their lives have been to a church where their parents can listen attentively to the preaching, and help the brethren in the faith in their physical necessities.

We have done everything from cutting down a tree that was about to fall on a roof to helping people find medication, but above all, we have prayed, prayed, and prayed some more. We have loved the new believer that is battling leaving behind sin and learning to do what is right, as well as also helping the older believers, who are weak in their faith, with whom God asks us to be patient as He has been with us.

God has also allowed us to now serve in the schools of our city, preaching to the staff and administration, to the parents and children.

We are serving various national pastors and their churches in counseling, discipling, and training leaders in the areas of marriage and family counseling. We have worked in the organization and execution of camps for men, women, young people and children and held evangelistic activities directed primarily at the children who we have been able to feed physically and spiritually. All of this has been done while we strive to love and serve our first flock, our 3 children, Nataly Joy (15), Gabriela Lee (13), and Nathan Santiago (11) for whom we prayerfully instruct daily in theory and practice so that they love God and their neighbor.

We ask for your prayer for the following requests:

-Wisdom of God to prepare the leadership of this new church in a way that we can grow in number, in knowledge and obedience to the Word of God.

-Provision and direction of God to construct and remodel within the property that we now have. We need classrooms to appropriately attend to the young people and children.

-Strength to serve the Lord, love for what we do, and passion to do it until the end of our days.

-Faith to advance with our eyes on the God of the impossible and not on the circumstances that are around us like the lack of electricity, water, propane and gas which are a reality in this unstable country with high inflation.

Your prayers are invaluable to us. Your generosity in the advance of the Gospel in Venezuela is and will be repaid by the God of all goodness, and your love for the lost, for our family and that the Word of God be proclaimed is a constant stimulus so that we do not grow weary in well-doing, knowing that in due season we will reap if we do not faint.
